Since 2005

Every move matters.

Enrichment days, school competitions and holiday camps. Twenty years of getting children moving in Wigan, Bolton and beyond, and we are only getting going.

Christmas camps → What we do for schools

What we do

Three things, done properly.

We would rather be excellent at a few things than average at everything.

Enrichment days

Themed days built around one idea, with the teacher training and the written impact report that proves what it did.

For schools →

Competitions

Whole competition programmes for school partnerships. Eleven days, two leagues, live tables, and the participation data heads actually need.

For partnerships →

Holiday camps

A full day of sport, games and making things in the school holidays. Parents book direct, nothing for the school office to do.

For families →

We also run clubs, curriculum PE and PPA cover, play leader training, parent sessions and work across community, health and leisure. Tell us what you need.

Why schools keep us

Anybody can send a coach. Fewer can prove it worked.

The same face every week

A named coach, not a rotating cast. The children know them by name, and so do you.

Professional status required

CIMSPA professional status of everyone who works with us, enhanced DBS and first aid. A deliberately higher bar than this sector usually sets.

Quality you can evidence

Every coach observed, moderated and reviewed on a cycle, and you get the written outcome. Not a certificate on a wall.

Inclusion built in

SEND in the plan from the start. A child who cannot do the standard version still has something to do that counts.

Two lads. One spark.

It started with a friendship and a belief.

That everyone, whatever their age, deserves the chance to move, play and be the best they can be. We started with that idea twenty years ago. We still hold it today, stronger than ever.

From the first steps of a toddler to the later years of life. Through sport, activity, and everything that keeps people happy, healthy and active. That is what we care about, and it is why we are back.

A local accent, with a national voice.

Activity

What we do. Sport, movement, play.

Community

Our heart. People, connection, belonging.

Health

Our minds. Happy and healthy, together.

Growth

Our purpose. Everyone being the best they can be.

What we've been saying.

We write about PE, school sport and getting children moving. Mostly in Andy's words, usually with a point to make.

2.1 million young people

2.1 million young people in England move for less than half an hour a day. That is not a child problem. It is an us problem.

The bloke in the tie is now the Prime Minister

Twenty years ago a local MP turned up to a school hall in Leigh to help launch our tiny business. Nobody was watching. It taught us something we still run on.
